Question:
I have a regular cab 2013 Chevy Silverado with 6.5 foot bed. Its not clear to me how the cross bar is secured to the roof of the cab. It appears that there is a strap. If so, does strap allow windows to be rolled up all the way? I recommend that your instructional video show more detail as to how the cross bar is secured to the vehicle roof. I am considering purchase of a kayak, so looking at ways I could best transport it on my truck. Thanks.

The strap that holds the cross bar of the Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier # DTA944-968-924 to the roof of your vehicle runs through the interior of your vehicle and tightens inside of the vehicle. It would not interfere with your windows or door operations. To see exactly how it tightens check out the video I attached.
