The 2013 model years of the Equinox can be fitted with either a 1-1/4-inch hitch or a 2-inch size, so as long as you have a 2-inch Class III hitch then the carrier will fit on your vehicles' hitch.

To make sure that your 2013 Equinox has room, you can take a simple measurement of your hitch to confirm that this carrier will clear the rear of the vehicle when folded up in its storage position. Measure from the center of the hitch pin hole to the rear-most part of the vehicle; if this distance is less than 9-1/2 inches then the carrier will clear the rear of the vehicle even when folded up.
