Lightest Weight Weight-Distribution System Recommendation for 540 lbs of Tongue Weight on Trailer
Question:
Hello, my camper weighs 3280 lbs. loaded, tongue weight is 540 lbs. Please tell me the lightest weighing weight distribution hitch you have. By weight, I mean physical weight of the unit. Mostly concerned with weight of shank and head assembly that must be installed into the hitch hole on the truck. Are all these hitches very heavy? Thx

The lightest weight weight distribution system we offer that would be recommended for your trailer with 540 lbs of tongue weight would be the Reese Weight Distributions System part # RP66541. This system includes a shank and only weighs in at 69 lbs with a ball. Which is much lighter than the other systems.
The weight of just the spring bars and head assembly plus shank would be right at 62 lbs.
For a hitch ball you would want the part # 19286.
