Should Air Suspension Enhancement Be Used With Weight Distribution On 2004 Ford F-150
Question:
I have a 2004 F-150 SuperCrew 4x4. When towing my trailer I get some bounce. It was real bad until I replaced the shocks with Rancho 9000xls. It is much better but still get some. I have been told by a few people that I should put in air bags. Would something like the Timbren kits be a better or as good of a choice? Would have be ok just doing the back or would I have to do the front as well? I have the Equalizer Hitch and it is now set about right. Just interested in getting rid of that last bit of bounce without causing an unsafe situation.

The use of rear suspension enhancement along with a weight distribution kit is not recommended. They tend to work against one another.
You said you have the weight distribution hitch on your trailer and it is set just about right. I might recommend making sure everything is set properly including the tongue weight, and the spring bars you have on your weight distribution system are capable of handling the weight you are towing.
I have included a link to a helpful article that explains how to determine tongue weight. I have also included a link to an article that explains weight distribution and how everything should be set.
