First place I would check is the ground of the light assembly in question. If the assembly is not grounded properly it will not function properly. Some assemblies ground through the mounting hardware, you will want to make sure the assembly is attached to a clean metal surface.

The next thing to check would be the trailer connectors for dirt or corrosion and clean as necessary. Usually this will be on the inside of the connector on the vehicle, but corrosion can be on the back of either connector as well.

Using a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 on the right side stop/turn circuit of the 7-way on your tow vehicle will help you determine if the problem is on the trailer or tow vehicle.

I attached a couple helpful FAQ articles to the right that you should find informative as well.
