When are 2 of the Reese Sway Control Bar, # 83660 Needed
Question:
I purchased one of tehse that is now mounted on the right side. Im towing a 30foot Keystone Hideout Trailer with my 2004 Expedition 5.4L V8. I read that if the trailer is longer than 26foot feet, I should have one of these on both sides. Is that correct?

Expert Reply:
Typically we recommend that if the trailer is longer than 26 feet or weighs more than 6,000 lbs that two of the Reese sway control bar, # 83660 get used.
The best way to prevent sway is proper trailer loading though. Having as much weight in your trailer as far forward as possible would be your best option.
I attached an install video for the # 83660 for you to check out as well.
