Platform Bike Rack Recommendation to Carry a Trek Pure Crank Forward Step Through Bike

Question:

Kia Soul 2014 - looking to add this rack. Will the hook arms reach the frame tube? Im worried about the distance the hooks traverse on the mast - i.e. will they go low enough to hook securely to the frame without interfering with the crank / pedals etc...

I spoke to my contact at Swagman and while she couldn't tell me how low the hook arm of the Swagman XTC-2 bike rack part # S64670 would go she assured me that it would go low enough to attach to your Trek Pure Crank Forward with a step through frame. Review video attached.

Some people with step trough frames will also use frame adapter bars like the Swagman Adapter bar part # 64005 to provide a higher attachment point for the bike rack. I attached a review video for this product as well.
