Will the 4-Way Mounting Bracket # 18144 Secure the 4-Way of the # RM-154
Question:
Greetings, I recently purchased a RM-154 Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit and a 18144 Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat for my 1994 Jeep Wrangler. When preparing to install the 4-Pole Flat Mounting Bracket I discovered that the 4-Pole Flat Connector does not fit into the bracket properly. In your installation video it appears that the connector snaps into the bracket and is securely supported. My connector fits into the slot on the bracket but it is too large to snap into the bracket and the bracket slot is too large to grasp the connector. Do you have any suggestions? Also, the taillight wiring access on my 1994 Wrangler is not the same as demonstrated in your installation video. After removing the tail light assembly all I have is a small oval slot in the body, under where the taillight was mounted, that isn’t large enough to access the taillight connector as demonstrated in your installation video. Do you have any suggestions? Sincerely,

The 4-way mounting bracket # 18144 will be a little bit big for the 4-way of the RM-154, but I can assure it will secure the 4-way once you press the cap onto the 4-way. Either the cap will keep it in place or the fact that it is plugged into your tow vehicle will keep the 4-way in the bracket.
If the hole underneath the light assembly is not large enough to fit the wires of the # RM-154 through you can either look for a different access point or enlarge that hole with a drill or dremel.
