Measurements for Bottom Measuring Strip on Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for 2007 Nissan Maxima

Question:

I recently purchased this and am a little confused about the measurements. I have a 2007 Nissan maxima SE. The measurements provided in the instructions are way too short for the rack to fit on the car. Can you give me the measurements for cutting the measuring strip to be sure they are the same as instructed?

For Rhino-Rack roof rack # RR38YR you should have a front bar that is 1001mm (about 39-1/2 inches) and a rear bar that is 987mm (about 38-7/8 inches). For the front measuring strip on the vehicle my contact at Rhino-Rack stated they should be at 43mm (1-11/16 inches). The rear should be 36mm (a little less than 1-7/16 inches).
