Will the Kuat NV Bike Rack Hold a Cruzbike Sofrider 2 Recumbent Bike

Question:

My question is regarding the Kuat NV 2.0 platform carrier for 1-1/4inch hitches model NV12G would this carrier be compatible with the Cruzbike Sofrider 2 recumbent? I think it should work, but would appreciate your confirmation. Note that the vehicle to be used would be a 2009 Honda CR-V. Thanks!

The Kuat NV 2.0, part # NV12G, is capable of holding a CruzBike Sofrider V2 recumbent bike because of the smaller 43 inch wheel base of the bike, compared to most longer recumbents. We have not had the ability to test a CruzBike in house, however, in doing some research, here's a few tips on seating the bike correctly in the NV 2.0.

Seat the bike backwards, with the rear wheel in the "front" position with the clamp. This allows you to get the correct clamping to the bike. Then, you'll want to make sure that the wheel is fully mounted into the rear cradle, and the strap pulled tight.
