Question:
Hi, Im looking for a replacement ladder for my 2008 Jayco 31 RLTS 5th wheel, damaged when I managed to back into a tree recently. The rear mounted ladder is about 112inch long top to bottom and bends at the top similar to the 401L with 7 steps 15inch C-C. The vertical support tubes are 11- 1/4inch center to center with stand-offs that vary 5-6inch in length. Please advise- Thanks

The replacement ladder I recommend for your 2008 Jayco 31 5th Wheel is the Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder, part # LA-401. this ladder is 99-1/2 inches long and 13 inches wide with 7 steps and 4 stand-offs included for support. The weight capacity of this ladder is 250 lbs and the spacing between steps is 12 inches.
To keep you from having to step on the bumper of your 5th wheel when trying to use the ladder I recommend the Stromberg Carlson RV Ladder Extension, part # LA-148. This is attached to the ladder and placed at an angle to allow you to climb to the top of your 5th wheel without having to step on the bumper. This attaches easily to the bottom of your ladder and gives you 3 more steps that extends to the ground. When you are ready to get on the road, simply remove the ladder extension and store it in your 5th wheel.
