Question:

What is involved when re-installing the side marker lights? Would you recommend any specific procedure? Mine fit in a 3inch by 1.5inch hole.

Installation methods will vary depending on the nature of the particular light you are using. We offer a wide range of clearance/marker lights (all can be seen on the link provided) and these include flange-, flush- and surface-mount types. You can use the filters in the left-hand margin to narrow the product results shown to just those light that meet your requirements. You can sort by lens color, bulb type, mounting type, brand and dimensions.

For example, in 2-1/2- x 1-1/2-inch size we offer grommet-mount amber light # 47-203667 and red light # 47-203668 from Wesbar. This light installs using grommet # 221588 and wiring pigtail # A46PB, both sold separately.

It is important to make sure your ground connection at each light is solidly made to the trailer frame (if your lights use a mounting stud to handle the ground) or to the trailer's wiring (if the lights ground through a separate ground wire). The linked article on trailer wiring may be helpful.
