What Circuit is the 5th Pin on 7-Way to 5-Way Adapter for a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer
Question:
Will this 7 to 5 adapter will work for the actuator reversing solenoid connection. Is the 5 connection the backup light on my trailblazer oem plug ? Thanks

The Optronics 7 Pole to 5 Pole Flat Adapter, part # A75TB, uses the center pin on your 7-Way as the 5th pin on the 5-Way side. Most 7-Ways are wired with reverse lights at the center, including factory installed 7-Ways, so the 5th pin should be the reverse light circuit.
This circuit is used on hyrdaulic brake trailers to lock out the brakes when backing up.
Check the cap on the 7-Way or in the vehicle owner manual to make sure that the center pin is in fact the reverse circuit.
