Fit of Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Cargo Box # Y07192 on 2014 Chevrolet Equinox With RailGrab Rack

Question:

I have a 2014 Chevy Equinox with factory side rails. I installed the Yakima RailGrab kit with 48inch bars and was hoping to use my Thule Mountaineer, but the thing is just too big. Im looking at the RocketBox Pro 14, but want to make sure that it will fit. Using your guide, I have 48inch from the front crossbar to the hatch seam, so I believe that it will fit with room to spare. Can you confirm this?

The Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Cargo Box # Y07192 will clear your rear hatch without interference. This particular cargo box will clear the rear hatch on vehicles with as little as 45-inches from the center of the front crossbar to the rear edge of the roof. I confirmed this with Yakima.

Do note it is advisable to check your Equinox owner's manual for any guidance regarding rooftop weight capacity, and do keep in mind that the vehicle's limit must be sufficient for the weight of the cargo box itself (38-lbs) plus that of your loaded cargo. Neither the vehicle's nor the roof rack's weight capacity can be exceeded.
