Bike Carrying Options for 2014 Volkswagen Beetle TDI Convertible
Question:
I am looking for a bike rack for a 2014 VW convertible beetle. Its a turbo diesel with a spoiler ? above the trunk. Thanks for your help.

We do have a solution that would allow you to carry up to two bikes on your Beetle convertible, but after checking with all of our trunk mount bike rack vendors, I found that none of the trunk mount options we offer would be compatible with your TDI Convertible.
Your best bet would be to install the Curt Class I hitch, part # C11354 and then use a 2 bike rack like the Swagman Trailhead, part # S63360. If you're planning on carrying women's bikes or bikes with a sharply angled top tube, you might consider a frame adapter bar like part # 64005. The adapter bar spans the distance between the seat post and the handlebar gooseneck. The bar provides a level attachment point for the bike rack, which allows better ground clearance.
