Troubleshooting Brake Lights that Come On When Trailer Connector is Grounded
Question:
Bk light comes on when i connect ground. Any ideas

Sounds like your brake light is wired to your 12 volt power source or is shorting out to it and because of that it is illuminating whenever the circuit is complete by connecting the ground.
I would inspect the wiring, particularly between the black wire and the stop/turn signal wire that is illuminating for cut or exposed wire and fix as necessary.
