Trunk Mount Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2014 Mazda CX-5

Have you a photo of the 991 fitted to a 2014 Mazda cx5? I want to check the fit before I buy.

I checked with Thule to confirm and our fit guide does match theirs and the OutWay # TH45JV is a fit for the 2014 Mazda CX-5.

However, the CX-5 is likely to have that top spoiler or trim piece at the top of the rear hatch. I recommend only 1 bike rack for vehicles that have that feature, the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top rack # HRF2. It has an upper arm piece that moves the top straps up and over that spoiler so no weight is put on it. I have linked a video showing how it works on a similar vehicle.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my son's bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
