Can the Arms of the Thule OutWay 2 Bike Rack # TH45JV be Adjusted Independently

Question:

Hi. Im interesting in knowing whether the independent arms on the th45jv can be set at different heights in order to compensate for a slightly sloped cross-bar on my bike, keeping the bike more level during transport? The slope isn't so much that I really need an adapter bar, though that's also an option. But since Ill primarily be using the carrier with just one bike, I'm hoping that I can straighten things out a bit by adjusting the arm heights. If not, is there another carrier you could recommend that could do this? I've got a 2007 VW Passat Sedan. Thanks for your help!

Yes, the arms of the Thule OutWay 2 Bike Rack # TH45JV can be adjusted independently to compensate for bikes without horizontal top tubes.

Also, what makes this rack far superior to the others is the attachment system. It uses only 2 retractable coated steel cables to attach to the vehicle rather than the 4-6 nylon straps like other racks. This makes installation quick and easy and the cables also last longer.

The cables store inside the rack so there are no loose straps ends to flap around. The cables can also be locked into position to deter theft of the rack. And there is also an integrated cable lock in the last bike position to deter bike theft.

This rack also features the latest and greatest road dampening technology which protects bike frames better than other cradles.
