Can you power out the cable with a load on ?

You cannot power out the cable with a load on it. To release cable on this winch the clutch is disengaged and the spool spins freely. The winch will only turn the spool with power when pulling cable in.

how can I run it out with a lite load. Im using this winch to open and close a pop-up campers top. I got to know how. Do I just reverse power cable. I dont really care if it burns up the motor. Just need it to run a couple times in and out.

Unfortunately there just isn't a way to power a load out on the Master Lock Electric Winch. You'd only be able to safely raise the pop-up with this unit. The Superwinch # 1120210 is a really nice alternative that would let you lower the top without issue.
