Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab
Question:
I am currently looking at purchasing a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab and noticed there are two bed options - 6 foot 4inch and 5 foot 7 inch. It appears most of the trucks, in my area, have the 57inch beds but I would like to put a gooseneck hitch in what I purchase so decided to check it out before committing to one or the other. I attempted to use the etrailer website to identify which hitches would work and I am asked which bed the truck has - 6 foot bed with and without air suspension and 8 foot bed with and without air suspension. Neither bed is technically 6foot so I am a little confused if the results apply to both 57inch and 64 beds or not. Which hitches will work in a 57inch bed truck and which would work in a 64inch truck? Thanks.

Since you plan on towing a trailer with a hitch in the bed of your truck you will want the longest truck bed you can manage so that you will have enough clearance to make sharp turns.
That being said the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs # BWGNRK1309 is confirmed to fit 5.5', 6.5', and 8' beds with or without air suspension kits.
I've attached an installation video for you as below that will walk you through installing this on your 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 and offer some additional information.
