Changing Draw-Tite Round Bar Weight Distribution System to Dual-Cam Style
Question:
Hi I have a drawtite hitch systemshanks, round bar weight distribution goes up into holes with a clip. Bar is not curved and not Trunion style. I would like to add a Cam style anti-sway system you sell the Reese version but my dist bars are straight and not curved on the ends. How can I make this work without having to toss out all of my perfectly good componentsshank, head... Does someone make a non-trunion round bar with the curve on the end. My set up is about 7 years old. Thanks for your help!

It may be possible to update your round bar weight distribution system to dual-cams such as on the Reese # RP66131 but in order to determine this we will need to know the specific part number for the weight distribution head unit you have.
The age of the original unit can come into play on this but my contacts at Reese/Draw-Tite will be able to advise your options once I can tell them your current part numbers. It would also be helpful to know the weight rating of the spring bars on the current set-up. If you plan to change trailers any time soon you may be able at this same time to choose bars of a more appropriate weight rating than those you currently have.
If you can also send photos of your set-up that will speed up the evaluation process.
I've linked an article on weight distribution for your reference.
