How to Use CTEK 12-Volt Universal Battery Charger # CTEK56158 on Positive Ground Vehicle
Question:
My 1966 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 is wired with positive ground. Will using this charger be an issue if the negative lead is connected to the negative battery post and the positive lead connected to the frame...or is an adapter required? Thank you.

First, I am recalling fond childhood memories of my big brother's 60's Austin-Healey. Thank you!
You can use the CTEK 12-Volt Universal Battery Charger # CTEK56353 on your positive-ground vehicle. The instructions included with the charger specify (on page 5) how to use this product on vehicles like yours that use a positive ground.
You will connect the negative charger clip (black) to the negative battery terminal. Connect positive charger clip (red) to a good metal engine ground away from the battery. Do not connect clip to fuel lines or sheet-metal body parts. Connect the AC cord to the socket. Please note the red alarm indication light will indicate a battery which is connected to reverse polarity.
