Bike Rack Recommendation that will not Interfere with Rear Windshield Wiper on a 2011 VW Tiguan

My husband is concerned about a bike rack interfering with the rear wiper on our 2011 VW Tiguan. Can you recommend a bike rack that would work without damaging or interfering with the rear wiper.

In order to install a bike rack at the rear of your 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan that will not interfere with the rear wiper you will need to first install a hitch since all of the trunk racks will prevent you from being able to use your rear wiper.

For a hitch I would recommend the etrailer hitch part # e98906. This is a Class III hitch with a 2-inch opening that would work very well for carrying a bike rack and will install very easily.

A popular bike rack with other owners of Tiguans is the Thule Doubletrack Platform Bike rack part # TH9054. This is an excellent platform bike rack loaded with features.
