Troubleshooting a Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller that Buzzes when Brakes are Applied

Question:

I have a Tekonsha Voyager XP controller. There is a buzzing sound that comes from the steering column when I apply the brakes. If I jiggle the column shifter it either goes way or gets worse. Either way it effects the braking. Thanks!

A buzzing sound coming from the Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller # 39510 indicates that there is an internal problem and the controller needs to be replaced.

The brake controller we recommend the most is the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is the best selling controller on the market because of how easy it is to setup and use, and how well it works.
