Recommended Base Plates for Flat Towing 2010 Ford Escape Behind Motorhome
Question:
Hi there. Do you have base plates and the other things I need to flat tow my 2010 Escape XLT?

We can get your 2010 Escape all set for flat towing. The essential items needed for flat towing include a tow bar, safety cables, a wiring/lighting solution, base plates and a supplementary braking system. A high/low adapter is also often required to keep the tow bar level when hitched to your motorhome.
First, for base plates I suggest the Blue Ox # BX2605 that you referenced. You can use the Alpha tow bar # BX7380 and this is a great choice since it includes the safety cables. For a lighting solution I suggest Roadmaster's # RM-155 bulb and socket kit. For a braking system, which is required in most states, I recommend the portable wireless Patriot from Blue Ox, part # BLU37TR.
I also linked our page for high/low adapters, such as # RM-076, which provides 6-inches of drop.
