Recommended Ratcheting Tie Down Straps for Curt # 18152 Cargo Carrier

Are the Erickson EM34415 straps to big to use on the Curt 18152 Basket Cargo Carrier? What other straps would you recommend?

The Erickson # EM34415 might be a little bit of overkill, but the ratcheting mechanisms work very nicely. I especially like the quick release button that works very well. I've always felt that when you are securing your cargo for transport, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a bit of overkill. Each strap has a 400 lb working load limit.

If you wanted a less expensive option, try the Erickson # EM31352. This kit includes four 1x10 ratchet straps, and each strap has a 500 lb working load limit. The ratchet mechanisms aren't as nice, but its a solid choice for somebody who's not going to be using them constantly. I've linked you to product demonstration videos for both strap kits.
