Can Swagman Locking Knob part # P1040 Be Used to Secure Bikes on Swagman XC2 Bike Rack
Question:
Does this locking knob fit on a new swagman xc cross country bike rack 64650? It has the tops that screw into a bolt? Thank you.

Expert Reply:
Using this lock # P1040 on the Swagman XC2 Bike rack, part # S64650, will not secure the bikes. It would only secure the wheel mounts to the rack. If you are wanting to prevent the bikes from theft with that particular bike rack, use a cable lock like part # e98891. Run it through the bike frame and the safety chain loops that are on the hitch.
