Solution for Attaching Bike w Frame Diameter Larger than 1-1/2 inches to Truck Bed 4 Bike Carrier

purchased the UG2500-4 but didnt realize that his bikes cant measure over 1 1/2inch for the tubing diameter. I am curious if an adapter bar like 64005 will work
