Recommended Bike Rack for a 2010 Acura TSX

Question:

I need recommendations for bike racks you recommend using on a 2010 Acura TSX not the wagon, that would hold 2 bikes. I am a girl so ease of loading/unloading the bikes is a concern. Thank you for any recommendations and info! I do not have a hitch either, yet. So if one is needed I am taking suggestions for that also. Thanks again!

You have a lot of options for a two bike rack for your 2010 Acura TSX.

Since you don't have a hitch you could go with a trunk-mounted rack. The most popular models with our Acura TSX customers are the Thule Passenger part # TH910XT and the Yakima KingJoe Pro part # Y02624.

The Thule Passage is a good entry level rack for occasional use.The KingJoe with folding arms includes several key features, such as a low-profile design with folding arms, sturdy steel construction and an integrated anti-sway StableCradle system.

I have linked video reviews of these racks for you to check out.

If you would like to go with a hitch mounted bike rack, I recommend going with the Curt Hitch # C11496. I have linked you to the installation instructions for the hitch. The carrying capacity of the hitch is limited to 2 bikes.

For a 2 bike rack I recommend the Swagman XTC-2 Platform Bike Carrier part # S64670. The wheel-mount design means it's easy to lift your bike into the frame cradles. Simply rest the bike's wheels in the well, ratchet down the frame hooks, and you're ready to ride. I have included a video review of the XTC-2 on a Acura ILX.

If you will be carrying alternative frame, women's, children's bike racks it is recommended to use an adapter bar like the Thule Adapter Bar # TH982XT or Yakima Tube Top # Y02531. This adapter will provide a horizontal mounting tube that will allow the bikes to be carried in more level position, therefore improving ground clearance.
