Overall Length of the Saris Freedom 4-Bike Rack # SA4414B

Question:

I am looking for a platform hitch rack for 4 bikes. I am concerned about the overall length of some of the racks in this category. The saris seems to be a bit shorter than the others. Can you confirm this?

I went out and measured the length of the Saris Freedom 4-Bike Rack # SA4414B from the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest point out on the rack and found it to be 40-1/2 inches.

When compared to one of the other more popular platform 4 bike racks like the Swagman XTC4 4-Bike Carrier # S64665 it is a bit shorter in length. I measured this one and found it to be 46 inches long.

What's also nice about the # SA4414B is that it weighs about 20 lbs lighter than the # S64665.
