Tow Bar Wiring Kit for 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Classic
Question:
I want to wire a 2004 Chevy Classic to tow behind a motorhome. 154-792-118158 appears to be the correct product but the web site give me the message that it cant confirm that it will fit and suggested I check with customer service. It has separate brake and turn signal lights.

Your 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Classic can indeed use the universal tow bar wiring/diode kit you referenced, Roadmaster part # 154-792-118158. This kit will require cutting and splicing of your vehicle wiring.
An alternative is the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs # RM-155. This is a completely independent wiring kit that does not splice into or affect your vehicle's wiring. Its installation requires you to drill holes in each tail light housing to enable installation of the included separate light bulbs. An installation video is linked for your reference and the written instructions for both kits are included.
I have also included two articles on tow bar wiring that may be helpful.
