Why Would Seals Leak after Installation of Kodiak XL ProLube Kit

Question:

I just placed Kodiak oil bath kits on my tri axle trailer and the inner seals are leaking. is there another type of seal that can fix my trailer? it is a 3500 pound axle, the seal is 1.980 with a 1.72 spindle.

I spoke to my contact at Kodiak and he informed me that he sees this problem a few times a week and it's always because the trailer is an EZ loader or a Tinker trailer that actually has 1.683 spindles instead of 1.72 and that is why the seals leak.

The only real solution I can provide for you would be to go back to your previous setup or look into replacing your spindles or axles.

I have a 2005 EZ Loader trailer and I put Kodiaks with XLprolube oil bath hubs on 10 years ago they worked great! I repurchased from you another set of Kodiak 10: dacromet hubs and XlProlube kit again but this time both seals leaked before even got the trailer on the road. There must be a change?

I'm not aware of any changes made on the Kodiak 10" hub-and-rotor assemblies that would have affected you in this way. Did you replace the seals as well when putting on the new hubs?
