What Adapter Can I use to Convert My 7-Way Truck Connector To Use a Trailer with a 4-Way Connector

Question:

The existing 7 pin on my truck is female. I need a mail adapter, that will give me a female four pin to plug my trailer lights into....all of adapters seem to have a female end to plug into the truck.

Assuming your truck connector looks like Pollak 7-Way Vehicle End part # PK12-707E, the part you were looking at, 37385, would be an appropriate adapter.

Trailer connectors do not exactly follow the male/female labels when it comes to connectors. A vehicle 7-Way is an open socket that will accept a plug, except the vehicle end pins actually stick out and go into the trailer plug that is inserted to the socket.
