Will Curt Ball Mount D-28 Clear the Spare Tire on a 2009 Toyota RAV4
Question:
I need an extended ball mount for a 2009 Rav 4 to haul a pop-up camper. I am wonder if this will clear the spare tire? I need the rise as well.

On Curt ball mount # D-28, it measures 14-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. Given that the spare tire on a 2009 Toyota RAV4 is sort of recessed into the rear door and bumper, this is likely going to enough distance.
On trailer hitches we have installed on the same generation RAV4 the hitch pin hole to spare tire measurement was about 6-1/2 inches so the ball mount is more than long enough to give you the clearance you need.
