How to Carry Women's Bikes on Thule Passage # TH910XT

Our daughter got this carrier for us. The problem is that this is an older ladies bike without a center bar. How are we suppose to attach the bike to it. Is there something missing or we should have?

The adapter bar is simple to install, and spans the distance between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, providing a level attachment point for the bike rack.
