It is surprising to hear your hose is leaking after installing the Derale Adjustable Fan-Control Thermostat, # D16769. We have not received any complaints for this product. I spoke with my contact at Derale and he said there are only a few things that typically cause leaking with this thermostat.
First, make sure the included foam pad is placed over the capillary tube. Next, look at the type of hose clamp you are using. If you are using a clip, I recommend replacing it with a screw type hose clamp like part # D13008. Clips may not provide enough pressure around the capillary tube. He has also seen problems with racing applications that have high pressure hoses, but if it is leaking overnight, I doubt this is the case with your setup.
