Question:

Mirror part # KS3891. Will this mirror work on a 2004 Ford Sprot Trac XLT? THe width from outer mirror edge to outer mirror edge on the PU is 79 inches. The trailer width is approx 92 inches. Will this mirror extend out far enough to see past the trailer?

The mirror portion of the K-Source Universal Towing Mirror, # KS3891, is 7-3/4 inches at its widest, which means the outermost portion of the mirrors will sit at 94-1/2 inches wide. At this distance, it would be difficult to see directly behind the trailer, but you would most likely be able to see something that is further behind the trailer such as cars on the highway. You should also be able to see parking lines when backing into a parking spot or trailer site.

After looking at the sideview mirrors of the Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT, I believe this mirror will fit. We have not had the chance to test the K-Source towing mirror on a Sport Trac, but the design of the factory mirror should work because the mirror housing has a lip for the K-Source mirror to grab on to. The arms of the K-Source mirror are adjustable, so they should work with the slight angle at the bottom of your factory mirrors.
