I checked with Thule and the Thule Hull-A-Port Pro J-Style Rooftop Kayak Carrier # TH834 is confirmed to fit the factory roof rack of your 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Each one of these will take up about 15 inches of crossbar width on your vehicle so you should have plenty of room for two of these, but you should still check the width of your bars to verify this.
