Recommended Trunk Mounted Bike Rack That Does Not Use Metal Clips
Question:
Need a trunk mount for my 2012 Kizashi that does NOT have metal clips that touch the car paint. Will carry one or two bikes.

Our trunk mount bike racks all have rubberized metal clips. While there is a chance there could be abrasions the rubberized portion of the clips will help to prevent that from happening. You will also want to make sure the contact points on the vehicle and the rack itself are clean to avoiding scratching the vehicle. Thule Passage 2 Bike Carrier # TH910XT you reference is a confirmed fit for your vehicle.
If you plan to transport any women or children's bikes I would recommend the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, part # TH982XT. This bar attaches to the center seat post and to the handlebar post and provides a horizontal bar, so the bike can ride level on the bike rack.
