First you will want to check with your local laws to determine how far past the rear of your Karavan utility trailer you are allowed to have items like boards stick past. You maybe able to lower your tailgate to sit flat on the trailer decking and use additional boards across the utility rails allowing the boards to sit slightly over the front rail and hang past the rear of the trailer. Our only other option would be to use something like the Malone TopTier Load Bar Kit for Utility Trailers # MPG493 but understand this only has a 250lb capacity so you may have to make multiple trips.
