Expert Reply:
The primary differences between the Surco # SP501BR and the Stromberg Carlson # LA-102 are as follows:
The Surco rack has a 75 lb capacity, while the Stromberg Carlson model has a 50 lb capacity. The Surco rack is manfuactured in the USA, while the Stromberg Carlson model is manufactured overseas. Both racks are covered by a warranty, the Stromberg Carlson is covered for one year, while the Surco model has a 90 day warranty.
Other than those differences, the racks are pretty similar. Both are highly rated by our customers. If the higher capacity and the fact that the rack is made in America is important to you, then the Surco model would be the best choice for you. If a 50 lb capacity is sufficient, you prefer a longer warranty and the fact that it's made overseas doesn't bother you, then the Stromberg Carlson rack would be your best option.
