Wiring A 2017 Sundowner Livestock Trailer With A 7-Way
Question:
i have a 2017 sundowner livestock trailer and the 7 pin wiring harness has been disconnected. I am trying to reattach but do not see any harness with all the connections. there is a hopkins engager brake box. where do the wires from the trailer come into the nose of the trailer and come out to reconnect the pig tail

Hello Kaye, thanks for reaching out. We do not have any schematics or anything we can reference to tell us where exactly the factory wiring harness comes out of the frame. I did see a few pictures online that showed the wiring harness coming down from the driver's side of the gooseneck tube. With someone having removed it, there is no way of knowing what, or how much, of the wiring was removed. If it were me, I would start at the back of the trailer and trace the wires as far forward as I can. Same with the brake wires. Just follow them forward and see where they go. Depending on how that goes, the best option may be to completely re-wire the trailer with a &-way plug and lead like part # 50-67-106.
