It should be a light green, but you should check the wire with a circuit tester, part # 3808, before you hook up the brake controller to make sure it comes on when the brake pedal is pressed.
Use the circuit tester to see which wire comes on when the brake pedal is pressed and attach the red wire on the brake controller to this wire.
