Largest Available Hitch-Mount Ramped Cargo Carrier for 2-Inch Hitch
Question:
I am looking for a cargo platform with a ramp for basic use moving around snow blower, BBQ, sod cutter, maybe even an aerator from time to time. You have two aluminum ones which I like for the weight but Im trying to figure out which one has the largest internal capacity. The ramp length isnt that important to me as Im still strong and able to muscle most things up there, but the usable size is important. Any guidance on the largest aluminum with a ramp would be appreciated. Best.

A good first step in considering your best option in a ramped cargo carrier is a check of your hitch's tongue weight rating, which should be indicated on its safety/warning sticker. This is the maximum weight the hitch can support and the combined weight of the cargo carrier you choose, plus what you load on it, must be within the hitch limit. If your cargo loads will get close to the hitch's limit then a lighter weight aluminum carrier may indeed be a good choice. Here are the key stats for the carriers you referenced:
# FHG69ZR weighs 77-lbs and has a usable area of 47" long x 27-1/2" wide x 7" deep
# PS10401-10402 weighs 114-lbs and has a usable area of 47-3/4- long x 31-3/4- wide x 2-3/4-inches deep.
I have linked several product videos and an article on hitch carriers for your reference.
