How Can I Make a Bearing Buddy Fit Tighter?
Question:
I installed new bearing buddy’s on my original hubs after bearing and race replacement. And after I realized I had too much slop in my bearings I had to remove the bearing buddy to adjust my bearings. Now the bearing buddy can be removed by hand after installing it again and I am afraid it will fall off while trailering down the road. During removal I used a dead blow hammer to tap off the bearing buddy while rotating the hub so I don’t think I could have wallowed out the hub mating surface for the bearing buddy. Is there any solution to get a tighter fit? What are my options.

There's no solution to making a bearing buddy like item # BB1781 tighter. We tell people to use a mallet the same way you did to remove them. A deadblow hammer is going to hit harder. You might've bent something but other then replacing it there's nothing you can do to fix it.
