Will The Reese Friction Sway Control Kit 83660 Work On A 3" Tall Frame?

Question:

I have a 1997 Scamp 13. The height of the frame where I would attach the mounting plate is 3 inches. I am wondering if I can attach the plate using the screws or would the holes be too close to the top and bottom edges of the frame?

Hello Brian, thanks for reaching out. The Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660 will fit great on a 3" tall trailer frame. We have had this bracket work on frames as small as 2-3/4" tall so it will be fine to use with a 3" frame. The holes are 2-5/16" apart on center so they will not be too close to the edge of the frame.
