Help With Installing Pop & Lock Tailgate Lock on 2015 Ram 2500 With Different Color Wire Harness

Question:

Its stated that the PL8350 is for a 2015 Ram 2500, but the installation instructions they provide are for 2010-2014 Rams. All the hardware bolts on perfectly, but the wires they suggest to splice into arent in the harness. Idk what colors to splice into.

I do see the instructions linked near the bottom of the page only show for the 2010-2014 Ram 1500-3500 but I did confirm it is confirmed to also fit your 2015 Ram 2500. I cannot say why Pop & Lock did not update the instructions for their Tailgate Lock # PAL8350. If you have a crew cab long bed you will also need the Extension Harness # PL9510.

As for the wiring I do see they mention the Tan/White stripe and Tan/Green stripe or the Orange/Grey stripe and Lime Green wires in the driver side kick panel. If you do not have these wires you can use a Test Light # PTW2993 to determine which wires show power when using the lock/unlock switch/key fob. This will allow the Pop& Lock to lock and unlock the tailgate lock when the door locks or key fob are used.
