Yakima MegaWarrior with Extension Recommendation for a 2011 Toyota Highlander

Question:

I have Thule 751 Rapid Load bar on the Highlander factory side rails. The max spread on the Thule cross bars is 36.5. I think it may hit my back hatch when open. I have about 15 inches from the back of the cross bar to the hatch and I think I need about 18 or 19 inche for clearance if perfectly centered on the cross bars I was also considering the Thule MOAB but feel like I am losing alot of space with the width only being 39 inches wide and it is the same price as the MegaWarrior. Any other options that would make sense? My main use would be for extra storage for vacations two kids and a dog on family trip is tough with a Highlander.

The Yakima MegaWarrior Extra Large Roof Rack Cargo Basket part # Y07080 that you referenced should work well for you. Hatch clearance shouldn't be an issue either since you could simply put the rear attachment points for the basket all the way at the back of the basket pushing the basket as far forward as possible if needed.
