Shank With At Least 5 Inch Drop for Curt Weight Distribution System
Question:
I have a Curt weight distribution hitch on my trailer. I dont have enough in the shank right now. The top of the inside of my hitch is 17 3/4 and the bottom of the trailer coupler is 13. Is product #17120 appropriate for the I need? The current shank has 6 or 7 holesappears to only have about 2 3/4 . Thanks

Ideally, when you set the weight distribution shank up, you want the ball height to be about 1 inch or so taller than the coupler height. Since the Curt # 17120 shank you referenced has a maximum drop of 5-3/4 inches, which would be perfect for your coupler height.
