Parts Needed To Minimize Bouncing When Towing Down Bumpy Roads
Question:
23 Chevy 1500 pulling 14foot enclosed mc trailer. Going over bumps, tar repair strips in road causes bouncing up and down as you cross the little bumps would this help stop the bouncing its just really annoying

Hey Terry,
A weight distribution hitch like the Reese Pro Round Bar # RE44FR would help if the rear suspension was sagging under the weight of the trailer but wouldn't do much for ride quality. You would need to install some jounce springs to help cushion the suspension to deal with the bumpy roads. We over a few different options depending whether your leaf springs sit above or below the axle and the capacity of the axle:
Overslung:
3K to 5K # TSS-107-40
5K to 8K # SS26MV
Underslung:
3K to 5K # TSS-106-40
5K to 8K # SS33HR
If you'd like to add some to your Silverado as well then you could swap out your factory bump stops with the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS45FR, as long as you don't have adaptive ride control. Installation only takes a few minutes and you can follow along with Aiden's video below.
